Public Aministration

Hello everyone, today I will write about my decision to study Public Administration.  Before starting my studies in this area, I only knew that public administrators were working in institutions of the public sector and that the subjects of their study plan were humanistic, mathematical and economic.

When choosing my current career, I had no other options than Public Administration in different universities, but the Universidad de Chile was my priority. I had already gone through another career and in that period I discovered my true vocation, since being in the previous career I was taking courses that made me decide and realize what I really wanted to study.

With respect to my motivations, I project working in the Ministry of Agriculture, in the Ministry of the Environment, in the Agricultural and Livestock Service or in any institution related to these topics, in this way I complement all my tastes in a single job, from what I love: The Public Administration.

So far my experience in public administration at the University of Chile has been very good, I finally feel that is what I want and what I feel comfortable, I also made wonderful friends.

So far my favorite subject have been; “Dinámicas de la Administración Pública” because it was very didactic, the subject was interesting and it is very useful to apply it in a future work.
The most significant thing I have learned up to this point is to work with other institutions, because it brings me closer to work in the field and is the closest thing to the reality of the Public Administrator.
