My opinion about diferent topics


Hello everyone, today I will write about my opinion regarding certain topics…

Child Labor

First, you must understand what is child labor?
According to the website of the international labor organization, the term "child labor" is usually defined as all work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is detrimental to their physical and psychological development.

Therefore my opinion on this issue is critical, because there are certain children's rights that in all countries must be protected, to avoid violations. For example, in Chile, children have special rights that were ratified in 1989 in the “Convención Sobre los Derechos Del Niño”, in addition to the general rights they have by the Chilean Constitution. Therefore I believe that in addition to a moral obligation, it is a legal obligation to protect them.



A Chilean tradition called “Mechoneo”

Every year during March a traditional "welcome" is made to students who enter the first year of the university called “Mechoneo”, in this "ritual" the new students often break their clothes, cut their hair, they are subjected to ridicule, forced to eat unpleasant food, to ask for money on the street, among other things. In my opinion, this practice should not continue happening, as it becomes unpleasant and sometimes certain violent and humiliating situations ocurred, which have ended in accidents.



Recycling

In my opinion, recycling is a very important activity that everyone should do since pollution problems are currently alarming in our country and in the world in general. On the website "Ecovale" it is reported that out of every 100 kg of garbage only 70% is collected, more than 30 thousand tons per day arrive at ravines, rivers and uncultivated lands becoming contaminating agents and sources of infection. Most of the waste could be reusable and recyclable, the problem is  that when mixed it becomes garbage. Therefore by recycling this amount it could be reduced considerably and thus we help the environment!


Legalizing abortion in some cases

In Chile, the legalization of abortion in three cases was strongly questioned, however I agree with the legalization of abortion in the 3 causes that are: rape, risk of life of the mother and fetal infeasibility, I also believe that we should continue to advance in this matter, expanding the horizons of legalization, I think it is an important right for women.

    Good reflection on child labor, children have their own rights and should be protected.

Changes to my study programme

Hello everyone, today I will write about some changes that I could be made to my study programme (major). First, in terms of the curriculum the subjects you have to study are very varied, for example some of the subjects are: mathematics, statistics, economics, law, political science and some that are specific to the Public Administration and relate directly to it. About the  w orkload and length of studies it can be said that the duration of the major is five years, in a normal semester, the load should not be difficult to carry on, it is rather approachable within everything, however due to paralysations and student contingency the semesters are reduced and usually with the same academic load and amount of subject to be evaluated, becauese of this  teachers can not pass the subjects well in such a short time and also for students it is difficult to be able to perform everything with little time and this can be very hard.
